Your Weekend

Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Four days, paced the way a weekend should be — not the way a venue contract usually is.

  1. Thursday

    3:00 PM

The front door of 638 Summit Avenue opens to the foyer beyond — a guest's first view of the house on arrival day.

Arrival, settle, slow drink on the porch.

Keys at three. Bags upstairs, drinks down. The house is yours for the weekend — bedrooms made up, fridges stocked the way you asked, the patio set for the first long sit.

  2. Friday

    Morning → Evening

The sunroom at 638 Summit Avenue, set for afternoon coffee with morning light streaming through the east windows.

Coffee on the patio, rehearsal dinner on the deck.

A loose morning — the coffee bar runs itself, the sunroom catches the east light. Florals can drop in the afternoon. By evening the long table is set on the deck for a rehearsal dinner that does not feel like a rehearsal.

  3. Saturday

    All day

The primary bedroom suite, opening into a sitting room — where the wedding party gets ready on Saturday morning.

Getting ready upstairs, ceremony, dinner, dancing.

The wedding party gets ready upstairs; the photographer works the staircase light. Ceremony on the lawn or in the great room. Dinner inside, dancing late, the bar in the library. Thirty for the ceremony, fifty if you take the vows outside.

  4. Sunday

    Until 11:00 AM

The chef's kitchen at 638 Summit, with marble island and brass pendants — the gathering point for Sunday brunch.

Brunch on the deck, slow goodbyes.

No staff hustling you out. Brunch on the deck, a last walk through the rooms, the people who stayed over packing at their own pace. Out by eleven, but the morning is yours.

Prefer a single day? The Ceremony-Only weekday — vows + a short reception, no overnight — is on the next page.
